Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving Tour – Difficulty ⅖ Rating: Easy
Perfect snowmobiling & ice caving adventure if you’re self-driving and want to go elsewhere after the tour.
If you want to wander to West Iceland, why not up the adventure-ante on the awesome Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving Tour which also includes a guided excursion into the man-made snow cave within the glacier!
As the second largest and most popular ice cap in Iceland, Langjökull Glacier is the best place for skiing, hiking, and snowmobiling because of the sheer size and sleekness of the terrain.
We begin the day at our base camp Jaki, where we equip ourselves for the epic Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving expedition.
Starting up our engines, we make our way over the staggeringly sensational, stretched-out snowfield to the ice cave which sits high up on the glowering glacier itself. It’ll be a sight you’ll savour for many moons to come and there are plenty of opportunities for selfies too.
Once there, we know you’ll be ecstatic to experience the guided tour which leads you 200 metres into the incredible ice cave tunnel and 40 metres under the ice cap as part of the Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile Tour!
The shapeliness of the surroundings will make you feel like you have delved deep into another dimension, giving you a truly ‘other-worldy’ feeling.
You’ll also be able to explore the various spaces and chambers, as well as take a walk over an immense ice crevasse on a carefully crafted bridge, making you feel like you’re in a fairytale on the Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving experience.
In every chamber, you will come across interesting information on display about the greatness of the glacier. Additionally, there is also some useful material for those wishing to tie the knot within this mythical myriad, something that is very popular and sought after by lovers.
We complete the Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving experience by riding our snowmobiles back to the Jaki base, which also gives us another excuse to gaze at the amazing Icelandic highlands once again.
After travelling the ice cap from above, and then seeing it’s beautiful, mind-blowing blue interiors, you’ll be blown away into a blissful world of mythical magic.
The Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile & Ice Caving experience is truly unique, and you’l be hard-pressed to find another of it’s kind.

A great time was had by our group. Apart from a little stormy weather, it was super A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Bring your cameras 🙂 I would recommend this adventure!
